Today, my attention has shifted to the "online" world.  I have been researching and studying this niche for a little more than 3 years.  With the passing of time, I have discovered that this world is very different than what I was used to, but I feel very comfortable here.

Before you go on to review and select your tools,  I want to share some TIPS for any successful Internet Marketing campaign.

My TOP TEN LIST!

1.  DEVELOP TRUST WITH YOUR PROSPECTS!  It will take time, but it will be time well spent.  Try to grasp this concept if you haven't already, . . . initally you are marketing YOU and not your products or services. With that in mind, establishing trust is a MUST!  One of the best ways to achieve this is by offering something of value.  Start with writing articles to place on article submission sites like EZine Articles, Wordpress and others. 

2.  JOIN FORUMS IN TEAM BUILDING AND BLOG SITES!  These two activities alone will serve many purposes at once.  DO NOT take them lightly! These are great places to make friends, develop relationships and create partnerships for networking.  You will get to know people who may later be potential customers.  In addition, Team Building and Blogging Sites provide opportunities to build your list.  Other suggestions are article submission, and newsletter writing. 

3.  IDENTIFY PRODUCTS AND SERVICES THAT POTENTIAL PROSPECTS WANT AND NEED!  Don't just think of what you want to sell.  Choose things that buyers and subscribers can use.  Do some research to learn more about these products and services before you make your decision on which one or more that you will offer.  It is a waste of time and resources when you are attempting to market something that is neither popular nor profitable!

4.  CONTINUE TO DEVELOP YOUR MARKETING SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS THING CALLED "THE INTERNET!"   There is always something new to learn about this awesome medium.  We can reach completely around the world using this revolutionary tool and do it for FREE!  THAT IS EXTREMELY POWERFUL!

5.  BUILD A WEBSITE IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE!  Although some may say that it is not necessary, . . . it is highly recommended.  If you are serious about marketing online, you will see in a short time, how invaluable this will be to you, your business and your potential for a sustained presence.

6.  MARKET YOURSELF IN A EFFECTIVE MANNER!  While there are loads of companies who will gladly help your business and website build clientel for a fee, there are many ways to get the word out about YOU at little-to-no cost.  One method is "Opt-In" or "Safelist" email marketing, which is also known as "Permission Email" marketing.  Opt-In, Safelists and Permission Email marketing requires the permissiom of willing customers to subscribe to your newsletters, promotional mailings and marketing materials by way of email.  The more that you send out Opt-In marketing mail, the greater the chances are that you will get ACTION.  Other ways are blogging, article submission and newsletter writing. 

7.  BUILD A LIST OF THOSE WHO WISH TO SUBSCRIBE TO YOUR OPT-IN MARKETING LIST.

A lead capture page will help you do that. Those who wish to subscribe have already shown interest in what you have to offer since they have willingly signed up to your list.  Track those leads and add them to your list.

8.  KEEP MARKETING COSTS AS LOW AS POSSIBLE!  Email is FREE!  Using email for your marketing campaign will cut your cost drastically.  Incorporate the use of Free* Advertising sites, Free* Article Submission sites, Free* Affiliate Programs, Free* Traffic Exchange sites, Free* Newsletter Submission sites and costs decrease even further.

9.  DRIVE TRAFFIC TO YOUR SITE!  This becomes much less of a challenge when you utilize traffic generating and traffic exchange websites.  There are many out there on the web that provide you with free membership.  Some come loaded with bonuses like a webpage, email and more.  I have listed some of the best here.  Make sure that you come back frequently because I will continue to update and add to the items listed.  Again, other ways of generating traffic are blogging, article submission and newsletter writing.

10. CONTINUE TO INCREASE YOUR ONLINE PRESENCE! The more places that you, your website, your products and your ads can be found, the greater your overall potential.
